Wait-Until

Synopsis

Waits (pauses the session) until the specified time.

Syntax

  • Wait-Until [-Time] [-Day] [-Month] [-Year]

Description

The Wait-Until cmdlet pauses the Powershell session until the specified time and date.

Parameters

  • Time The time to wait until, in 24-hour format.
  • Day Wait until the specified time on this day of the month.
  • Month Wait until the specified time on the specified day of this month. If this parameter is used the day parameter becomes mandatory.
  • Year Wait until the specified time on the specified day of the specified month of this year. If this parameter is used the day and month parameters become mandatory.

Inputs

Wait-Until does not accept any input objects.

Outputs

Wait-Until does not output any Powershell objects.

Notes

There are no notes associated with the Wait-Until cmdlet.

Example 1

This command will pause the current Powershell session until 22:00:

Wait-Until 22:00

Example 2

This command will pause the current Powershell session until 22:00 on the 12th of March:

Wait-Until 22:00 -Day 12 -Month 3

Example 3

This command will pause the current Powershell session until 22:00 on the 23 of August 2010. Note the order of the day, month and year when parameter names are not specified:

Wait-Until 22:00 23 8 2010
