Performing a standard installation

Installing to all Windows editions except Server Core

Installation of the Cmdlet Library is performed using the Cmdlet Library installer, found on our download page. Choose the appropriate installer, either x86 or x64, for your operating system type.

Installation of the Cmdlet Library requires administrator rights as files are placed within the PowerShell directory in System32. In Windows Vista and higher versions of Windows you may be prompted by the UAC to allow the installer to use administrator rights.

On opening the installer you will be presented with our license screen. You must accept our license in order to be able to proceed with the install.

After installation, the Cmdlet Library can then be loaded from the "PowerShell with Vexasoft Commands" shortcut in the Vexasoft folder of your Start Menu.

If for any reason you need uninstall the Cmdlet Library, this is done in the usual way through the Add / Remove Programs control panel application.
